Gédéon BANSWE TSHIBANGU

Who am I?
Mr. Gédéon BANSWE has over 10 years of experience in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Information Management and Remote Sensing. He has worked in two sub-national health clusters in Eastern Provinces/Chad and Darfur/Sudan, and is experienced in geographic data collection, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
Gédéon has participated in three major emergencies: the Sudan Health Crisis (2023–2025), the Pakistan Flood Response (2022–2023), and the Ebola Response in DR Congo (2020–2022). He has made significant contributions to UN agencies and international organizations through his skills in health data management, GIS action planning, and health data visualization.
Before joining WHO, Gédéon worked for the GIS Center for World Health Organization, iMMAP, UN-Habitat, WWF, and Université Évangélique en Afrique as a junior lecturer. He graduated with a degree of BAC + 5 in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
